On its second day of operations, Philippe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) is having a near empty day.
The facilities contrast with what we witnessed yesterday, as hundreds of people attended the opening of the air terminal, including officials and guests at the official ceremony, along with supporters of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
With twenty flights operated by Aeroméxico, Volaris and Viva Aerobus, passenger numbers are far too small for AIFA, which aims to reduce the saturation experienced by Mexico City International Airport (AICM).
