Google said that its workspace services that provided interruptions during the Tuesday afternoon have been fully restored, after users reported crashes in products like Gmail and even YouTube.
“Customers in Mexico and Central America may not be able to access Gmail and other Google Workspace products on Tuesday. We can confirm that the issue is now resolved. We apologize to all affected users,” the tech company said. Forbes Mexico.

Downdetector showed spikes in failure reports on products like Google Search, Drive, Meet, and Gmail, among others, between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. By 9:00 PM all Google Workspace services will be fully restored.
In the case of Gmail, the main failures reported in Downdetector were site loading problems, followed by login problems, and then mobile application failures.
DownDetector Indicators show that in the case of Gmail, 77% of reported problems were with website loading, another 11% occurred at login and another 11% of failures were reported in the mobile app.

The failures were apparently limited to Mexico and Central America, where neither global Google Accounts nor International Downdetector showed failures in Google Workspace services around the world.
The failures of Google Workspace products mainly occurred in the urban areas of the Valley of Mexico, Guadalajara and Monterrey, which are the three major urban areas of the country.
