Hello everyone, and welcome to another software update from TrendSpider. In this update, we preview an upcoming change to how the TrendSpider platform handles chart annotations across multiple workspaces. Details after the jump.
We are changing how the TrendSpider platform handles annotations and graphs on charts across multiple workspaces in order to improve platform functionality, bring this particular area in line with user expectations, and provide a more consistent workflow.
Currently: Workspaces create a whole new environment for you where you can have different layouts, colors, cursor defaults, etc. However, some aspects of the system go beyond workspace separators and work across all workspaces. This includes watchlists, saved scanners, back-tests, script configurations, alerts, and graphics on charts.
This update addresses the last point on this list – graphics on charts. Currently, if you draw a line on a chart, and then look at the same chart in another workspace, the line will appear even though it was drawn in a different workspace. Similarly, if you delete a line or change a graphic on one workspace, the change will appear in all workspaces.
Here’s what changed: From now on, drawings will be locked to the workspace they were created on and only visible in that workspace. This allows you to have completely separate environments with different cursors, graphics, colors, etc. in different workspaces and will be more in line with the way most people expect graphics to work.
Notes: To make sure the process isn’t broken, we’ll clone all of your existing graphics across all your existing workspaces before applying this change to the system as a whole. This is to preserve the current functionality up to this point but will not affect new graphics made after this change was implemented.
Change date: << عندما نجري التغيير >>
After the above date, the software update will be applied and this change will take effect.
